Merry Christmas!

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Daisy #1 Dog This Year

This just in: Daisy, the westhighland white terrior or "westie", has surpased Sammy as the number one dog of the family.

For years Sammy has strutted about the house holding his title proudly... but one too many "incidents" on the carpet and his general above-it-all attitude and aloof behaviour has led to his demise. Sammy entered the family in 1997 and was pumped full of life saving steroids when we learned he had a serious genetic condition of "lion's jaw". The steriods incidentally stunted his growth, making him forever a puppy size and that much cuter, securing his reign in the family. Daisy came along in 2002, dethroning Sammy temporarily, being the novelty of a new puppy. Sammy was quick to regain the title though as Daisy grew bigger than him and simply because he's just so darn cute. I'm serious. He's even modeled for calenders and greeting cards.

Tonight over dinner though, looking down at Daisy's sweet eyes, the family agreed: Daisy is now the number one dog in the family. Sammy's out. Daisy's in. Time to take her for her victory walk!

Santa's Severed Head

My mom goes a little crazy at Christmas with the decorations. Despite her efforts to scale back this year, giving three boxes of decorations away, it still looks like the Grinch stole Christmas and brought it right here!

One decoration in particular should have been in those boxes... a giant Santa's head. It's just his head. His beard lights up different psychedelic colours... but man is it weird. I was going to take a picture and post it but I don't know how to do that with my parents' computer. You don't want to see it anyway... too creepy!

No Cavities!

I went to the dentist today and yay! no cavities! And I was finally complimented on my flossing.

Flossing= "the new brushing your teeth"

The worst part about going to the dentist is the 24hr period before in which you know you're going to the dentist. The best part is the cute guy in the waiting room... well, maybe that was just today.

Anticipation... is like living in Christmas eve.

Tree Trimming

Tonight my family decorated our Christmas tree. It's not as much fun as it used to be. There are a lot of orders and commands... missing hooks.
The ornaments from yester-year come out. You know the ones made from like a plastic spoon or pinecone or coffee creamer.
It's interesting to watch the family dynamics at work; even with one brother M.I.A.
I made sure Mariah Carey Christmas was there to spice things up a bit.
And the tree looks good.
